Now I am all about charitable giving, but this seems a bit strange to me. Entrepreneur.com reports that churches are installing kiosks for church-goers to swipe their plastic before or after Sunday services. You can read the full story.

Credit Cards |
If searching for your ideal credit card, you cannot beat CreditCards.com for ease of use and selection. I found the most worthwhile type of card for me to be one featuring cash back. There are more than you could ever imagine.
www.creditcards.com
After a comprehesive search, I settled on Chase Platinum Rewards. 5% cash back at the grocery, gas stations, and drugstores (a good chunk of my budget each month).
You can find it here: Chase Platinum Rewards
I have had a great experience with this card, already having received $100 cash back. The rewards service, once you make note of the website, is very easy to use. I requested my check on Monday night and the check arrived on Thursday.

Sharebuilder |
Though Sharebuilder may not be my preferred brokerage (Sogo Invest is for their $1 trades for the first 90 days and $3 thereafter), they are the only ones offering a sweet deal like $50 cash for opening up an account. To obtain the money, you only need to make one trade, for any value, and they will deposit the cash into your account in a few weeks. The good guys over at Blueprint for Financial Prosperity detail it extensively and list quite a few codes. http://www.bargaineering.com/articles/sharebuilder-50-bonus-revisit.html
I went directly through the Costco website (you do need to be a member), but I have received notification that my cash ($55) should be coming in a few weeks. It's a GREAT way to invest in something risky, for which you wouldn't necessarily wouldn't want to put your own hard-earned dough on the line.
Another benenfit is that Sharebuilder is available in Yodlee.

Colgate |
First off, my hat is off to Colgate for their Fresh Confidence toothpaste. It's easily the mintiest, best toothpaste I have ever used, and I buy it whenever I can (i.e. it's on sale - hey, you can't always get what you want. Sometimes you have to wait until you have a $1 off coupon).
This rebate is for their Colgate Total toothpaste. Up to $2.99 in value.

Wal-mart Free Samples
I know some like to hate on Wal-mart, but here is yet another reason why I think this store is great: http://walmart.triaddigital.com/Free-Samples.aspx. Check back frequently as they seem to rotate often.

Yodlee |
If you don't know about Yodlee, check to see if your bank provides the service to you at: http://corporate.yodlee.com/customers/consumers.html.
Yodlee, for those not in the know, serves as sort of a personal finance homepage. Through your bank, you are able to reconcile all of your bank accounts, credit cards, reward programs (including frequent flyer miles) and other various memberships all onto one easy-to-read page. The capabilities of Yodlee to calcuate outstanding debt versus investments and free cash flow are impressive. It also tells you your net worth, an important number to keep in mind to achieve any long term fiscal goals.
The initial set-up takes about 30 minutes to enter in all your passwords, etc., but it's well worth it if you are like me and check your bank statements at least daily.
While there are some concerns about security, if you are one of those people who use the same password for everything, then this is probably helping you because it allows you to monitor your finances more quickly and can therefore detect any shenanigans early on.
I have been on the Yodlee bandwagon for about a month and am pleased as punch with the results.

Knowledge is power |
Wachovia (whose stock is soaring in my book) has a great little financial fitness quiz that should be basic knowledge for anyone in the work force. Take it here: http://www.wachovia.com/whatsyournumber/page/0,,10245_10249,00.html
